Game serial key not working? Can't find your serial key?

Game serials are all hexadecimal – this means they only contain characters from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (zero to nine), and ABCDEF  (ay to eff)-  so there are no letters I (eye), O (oh), or L (el).

 

The key is in a format something like this

A0A0A-0A0A0-A0A0A-0A0A0-A0A0A-0A0A0

(not necessarily letter, number letter, etc, but 6 groups of 5 characters)

 

Some games do not abide by these rules such as Galciv I, Galciv I Ultimate Edition, Galciv I Altarian Prophecy, and the Original Political Machine.

Their key is in a format something like this

DN-000000-A0A-A0A0A0A0A0

(DN followed by six numbers, three letters/numbers, and ten letters and numbers)

 

The serial key should be located in one of two places. On the back of the manual for your game, or on a sticker on the inside flap of the case.
