A -Disable your internet connection

AB-Open up the application (to get it to attempt activation) on the system you would like to install to.
AB-Enter your email address and serial number.* The ONLY serial numbers accepted are of the following forms:
- 28 digit string (Containing characters consisting of A-Z or 0-9
- "OD-1234567-OEM-123456789" (This particular number will not work to activate)
- "TD-1234567-OEM-123456789" (This particular number will not work to activate)
(Note to Galactic Civilizations II customers: If you have the Collectors/Limited Edition, please keep in mind that there are two serial numbers. One for the additional content and one for the game. If you have purchased GalCiv2 published by Paradox and have only the GC2-... serial number, please visit this website: http://galciv2.com/paradox to retrieve the game serial number)
Be sure to enter this correctly as a license file will not be able to be generated otherwise.
(If you see the cursor, |, you should be able to paste information using Ctrl+V)
AB-The activation will fail because it cannot communicate with the server. Click "Yes" (You would like to activate by email)

AB-If you ordered this from store.stardock.com, click "Yes" (You purchased your software from Stardock)
If you purchased this from a 3rd party retailer (In-Store or online), click "No"

AB-Enter the information as best you can (Only if purchased from a 3rd Party retailer)
Entering the retailer name is optional, but highly recommended in order for us to provide you with the best service.

A -Re-enable your internet connection

AB-Copy the subject and body from the "Activate via email" dialog
B-Take all of the information to an online system.

AB-Paste the information into the appropriate fields of an email to activate@stardock.com
To speed things up, be sure to send the email in from the email address your product is registered under (if applicable).
Though this was written using WindowBlinds as an example, the process is almost exactly the same for any other product. The only difference will be the subject line in the email you send to activate@stardock.com
*Please ensure you use the correct serial number when activating. If you had an IconPackager serial number before activation was implemented (serial# starts with IP-...) your serial number has changed.
Your serial number should consist of a 28-digit alphanumeric string. Your registration information may be retrieved automatically via email (If you've registered with us or have purchased your software through us) by entering your email address at http://stardock.com/support
You will receive further instructions from there.
Responses should take no longer than 16 hours unless submitted over the weekend.
